The gas pain! My 1st time around I was not warned about the pain from the leftover gas that they pump in you! That was the worst part for me...this time around I will be prepared to ask for drugs so I can sleep thru it!

Good luck!

Not being able to keep things down. I have been so active, but it always ends in feeling sick and sore. I know I must sound like a baby, but it's really hard to deal with. I get plain tired of getting sick everytime I eat. Now, I don't even like the way food feels in my pouch. Don't even really want to eat. And that's combated by the fact that I'm always hungry and miss food. It's the strangest struggle yet.

I'm having a hard time with everything. I've gone back to soft and liquid to run head on into the same problem. Thanks Lou, I'm sure it will get better in time. It can't rain forever. :')

The hardest thing is this underlying feeling of uneasiness. I think it's from not processing feelings. I used to eat when I was upset. Now I don't. So I need to find something else to help me cope. Working out helps. Talking helps. I think it's time to start that counseling they talked about in class. 9 weeks out and -50 pounds.

I shall do that. I'll try anything at this point. But I'm not sure how to handle this dislike of food in my pouch. I mean I just hate the way it feels. Aside of the throwing up, it has been so long, it just feels like it does not belong.

I have the same problem. I just don't want food anymore. Nothing sounds good and I hate getting sick. I know it's trial and error and I have to learn what works but I'm so tired of not wanting food. Also, I eat less now than I did 2 weeks ago. Can barely get a 1/4 of a cup down. It's a struggle!

I went through a phase of not wanting to eat anything to wanting to eat all my favorite old trigger foods. Grocery shopping has been a little depressing, as has watching my loved ones and friends eat my faves. But losing almost 50 lbs in 6 weeks is worth it!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
