Im on Clear Liquids for three days after surgery then after that i can add milk and other "full liquids"' date=' which i follow for two weeks. After two weeks i get soft food. At four week some solid. Then i can add everything gradually at six weeks.[/quote']

I bet full liquids are gong to be looking pretty nice after doing my time with the clear ones!! At this point I am kind of scared to way anything I wonder if other people besides me where like that I am just scared about even thinking about eating after the surgery!!

I am too. But we gotta take the bull by the horns and conquer it. I'm excited. I'm only ten days away from surgery and looking forward to it.

My sugery date is 9/12 and I'am following my 2 weeks Pre Op diet because my doctor says I need to lose 10 pounds. So far I lost 8 pounds. I thought following that crucial that I'd starve my myself but I'm getting use to start eating healthy. This morning I had a hard boiled egg with wheat toast. For lunch I had boiled carrots and some grilled shrimps. With no salt no seasoning. For dinner scrambled eggs with green peppers and a small slice of low fat cheese. My Mom is so awesome! She came home from the health store and purchased Protein vanilla shakes and a soy Protein Powder container. She is so sweet. She said she wanted to start to get the liquid diet week ready after my sugery. My family are eating the same like me. I guess they all gonna loose weight too :-)

Isla!!! We're surgery buddies!! I'm also on the 12th! I was starting to feel lonely!!! ;)

Good luck with your surgery! I hope all goes well!!

Do you know what time yet?

So my surgery is monday morning at 9am. I am excited but very hungry. I have been on liquified pureed food all week and doing clear liquid for 2 days before. So broth and popsicles...applesauce to curb the need for texture. I have been cleaning like crazy today getting my house clean enough to survive my down time. With six kiddos' date=' it can never be to clean. I cleaned out my closet and dressers. I am ready for the new change but very nervous... I am ready to sign over my paycheck for just one bite of a Bologna sandwich.. Just one more day!![/quote']

You are first and I go on Wednesday. Good luck. How old are your kids?

I am having my last meal in the old way tonight then I start my 2 week Optifast diet. I dreamed about my IVC filter surgery last night weird we (my brother was having surgery to why I have no idea lol) in someones house, set up like a backroom surgery center. The nurse practitioner I spoke to last week told me it would be an outpt procedure and then the nurse called me friday and said i would be spending the night in the hospital. If I spend the night I can drive myself and leave the next day if not my son has to bring me and pick me up. I will call the NP on monday and get it straight.

Jessica(janelane) I to am starting to "do my time" on the liquid diet. It really feels a bit like a prison sentence lol well mine does because its Optifast I don;t care for the taste of the food much I like the Unjury much better but I guess I would get tired of anything

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
