My Goal to wear a formal gown

Recommended Posts

Ok I was a heavy teenager and painfully shy. I never got asked to formal dances EVER. I was out shopping with my teenager sister last night who is preparing for her 5th formal dance since starting highschool (she is a senior). The dresses there were so gorgeous and I started really feeling sorry for myself for never having worn one. So I have found a new goal!!! When I get to my goal weight, I'm going to go to the ball at my university with my hubby (gee he'll love being dragged to that! lol) but I just want to recapture a bit of my youth and experience something I missed out on.

What do ya think???

Sounds like a good goal to me...

I expect that by my next wedding anniversary, I will be able to fit into my gown. That will be exciting. After 18 yrs - being able to fit back into that will be GREAT. I guess I will have to make my hubby take me someplace fantastic!

:]

Great goal! I actually can fit into my wedding dress now and its loose in the waist (not up top though)!!! I can understand I was always heavy and never went to a formal dance in school either. You can do it, and tell hubby to at least pretend like he enjoys it when it's time!!! LOL

I think that is a fabulous idea. I really miss my teenage years, especially high school. It was so darn fun renting tuxes, getting the dress, taking an hour and a half to get ready. Go to a nice dinner beforehand and rent a limo too. You will have a blast. YOu can do this!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
