I had my Roux en Y on March 10, 2008. My starting weight was 260# and have maintained 148-150# since Nov 2008. I have done many exhilarating activities since the weight loss. Since. August 2010 I have taken up running. On March 6, 2011 I completed a full Marathon (26.2 miles), and since then i have completed a half Marathon, a 10k and 2 Half Marathons. Now I have taken on a new challenge for Sept 2013...Tahoe Tough Mudders :)

I was searching apps on my iPhone and I liked what this community had to offer.

Ok' date=' cool! I'm always curious how our members find us :-)[/quote']

:) I really like this community. I have been to some where it has been a place to through out excuses for behaviors and many enabling it. This community thus far has showed so much support in all aspects, for this journey we have all embarked upon. This new life is anything but easy but with a strong support system anything is possible!

I was looking for gastric bypass group on my itouch & wala found this one.

Thanks for the support with the 5K Veronica. It will be a while yet before I am ready but I will definitely be hitting you up for that training info.

That's wonderful. I am planning my first half marathon walk in sept. I am 7 months out as of today.
