October 100 Mile Challange!

Hey everyone! Great job on your totals for September and a huge thank you to Butterthebean for starting that post and challenging us all to challenge ourselves. We all wish BTB great success and a speedy recovery from his surgery. We know you will be watching and cheering us on. October is among us and with that comes a new challenge. 100 miles in 31 days! Walk, run, bike, whatever you do, log those miles and drink that water! Anyone who has been lurking in the shadows and watching last months challenge, now is your time to join us! It doesn't matter if you do 1 mile a day or 20, just go at your pace and have fun! For those of us who participated in last months challenge, I want to issue a personal challenge to add another 15 miles to what you did last month. After all, there is 1 more day in this month.

On a side note, this group has become very motivational for me as well as others. If you don't mind, let's let everyone know your real first name. If you would rather not and just want to go with your username that is perfectly fine. I will kick it off...my name is Ted. Good luck everyone and log those miles!!

Now everybody get off your arses and lets kick October between the legs!!! ( okay.... I just finished lifting... I'm still pumped... Hehehe)

WOW...glad my name is not October!

Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I have checked in. I haven't been as active as I hoped but getting in some exercise. Work is the main culprit, followed by watching my favorite baseball team in the NLCS, and getting ready for surgery in 9 days. I am at 32.4 miles. I hope to hit 50 before surgery.

Have a great day and keep moving.

Only 1.4 yesterday. Traveling to and from BIL's visitation/funeral today. :(. Sad stuff. Only good thing he's not suffering now.

After my 4 mile walk yesterday, I am at 58.7 miles. I'll definitely reach my 125 mile goal for this month! Everyone is doing so well...I'm very impressed by everyone. Such a great group of people!

Day 12: biked 15 miles

Day 13: Biked 19 miles...I was pushing for 26.2 to support various friends running the Chicago marathon today. I fell a little short. Hopefully in the near future I'll be running this bad boy with them!!

Total Miles: 115 - 725 Total Squats

I start the Insanity program tomorrow (hope this goes well)...I'll log my Insanity workouts here for the remainder of the month.

I'm so glad you posted! I was wondering how you were getting on with Insanity. Good for you!!

I love this thread. I'm having a few issues and haven't been able to work out but I read the thread to keep me motivated for when I can get back in again.

Added 9.1 miles over the last two days - biking and walking, total 82.45.

yea, Insanity workout really fits the name of the program. It very intense, but that's how you know it's working...so far so good.

Hope you get well soon and you can continue your workout regiment.

so sorry to hear ((hugs))

I don't know if I would have had the will power to throw it away' date=' good for you! I ate 2 bites of pumpkin pie guts over the weekend, no crust just the filing. I think I saw a recipe somewhere for making it with protein added. Gonna have to look for that.

I crochet, and enter a toy dragon that I made this summer.

That is the cutest little dragon. I love it!
