Pay attention to any leg main (especially calf pain, though). If you get a fever, or legs are hot, or the pain continues, see your MD to rule out a potential clot. Unsure about your symptoms, though???

Hello, Ive been reading articles about this Im going to get labwork done. Neurologist thinks its a deficiency of copper, thiamine or some Vitamin. So I'll keep you posted. Everything else has been fine. Met my goal in under 6 months. :-)

In doing research to stay one step ahead for after surgery I came across this website on Vitamins after bariatric surgery. It explains symptoms of vitamins deficiency. Hope this helps you and a lot of other people with the very same symptoms now and in the future.

"Symptoms of thiamin deficiency include burning feet, neuropathy, and chronic vomiting. Treatment can involve patients taking B-50 complex Vitamins, 300 to 400 mg of total elemental magnesium for maximum thiamin absorption and appropriate neurological function, 20 to 30 mg/day of oral thiamin to address early symptoms of neuropathy, and 50 to 100 mg/day of thiamin administered intravenously or intramuscularly for more advanced signs of neuropathy or protracted vomiting."

This is from the website. Good luck all!

I am a neurologist who also just had a sleeve. Your symptoms are almost definitely due to a Vitamin deficiency.

Though you can get toxic (too much) on B6 which causes burning feet. Your neurologist needs to check B6, B12, B1, B12, Vitamin D.The thigh pain might be meuralgia parethestica (google it).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
