Me too want, have a 10/22/13 date with Mexico Bariatric Center, Dr. Valenzuela... Anyone with experience please?!?!?

I went to dr. Aceves and was very VERY impressed with both the hospital and team... U will not be disappointed if you decide on him as your surgeon... Let me know if you have anymore questions :)

I went to him this past March. My experience was met and exceeded my expectations.

There are quite a few threads on here with reviews, feedback, and detailed accounts. I recommend checking them out.

My sister and I were both sleeved at Mexico Bariatric with Dr Valenzuela -awesome experience and we are both convinced it's the best decision we ever made!

I also was sleeved with Dr. Valenzuela in July and recommend her. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Good luck and let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks for the reasureance with MBC and Dr. Valenzuela.! I so excited and hope this is the help I need to ensure a heatly life! And the best decision I will make!

As any one been to Mexicali to Dr. Aceves

How much do you pay in Mexicali if it's the same price I 'd rather stay in CA

8750, out the door is the last I've heard.

5000.00 can't get that in the US!

Good luck getting a US MD to follow you after surgery. You will need frequent lab testing, like every 3 months in the first year to check on deficiencies. Then there is nutritional counseling if your having problems. At my surgeon's office, you will pay a $500 transfer fee to get to see him which insurance doesn't pay and every NUT visit is $60. I see my NUT every month and I have access to her by email daily. I'm confident there are good surgeons in Mexico..... but its the aftercare that will keep you successful....imho.

I have had no problems and do not plan on going every 3 months for labs. I had type 2 diabetes so my dr. will test me every 6 months to check and see if it is still gone!!! I have gotten info from a nut in Mexico and am progressing very nicely Thank you. The sky is not falling and I would encourage those who do not have insurance to research and ask questions but do not be afraid. This surgery has changed my life!!!

Dr Aceves and the hospital he works in is AWESOME. I've had surgery there and my mother who is terrified of Mexico went and had sleeve. She is a nurse by profession and she was very impressed with hospital. The entire staff is amazing and will take great care of you.

Absolutely no problems with after care at all! Docs are thrilled with weight loss. The Mexico Bariatric Center sends all of your records with you. It lists everything they did and what they used. You have access to a NUT. No problems whatsoever. No recovery issues, best decision ever!
