  1. Absolutely no problems with after care at all! Docs are thrilled with weight loss. The Mexico Bariatric Center sends all of your records with you. It lists everything they did and what they used. You have access to a NUT. No problems whatsoever. No recovery issues, best decision ever!
  2. My sister and I were both sleeved at Mexico Bariatric with Dr Valenzuela -awesome experience and we are both convinced it's the best decision we ever made!
  3. Good luck!! It's a great journey! It's been 3 months and I'm down 40lbs!! Love my sleeve! It makes you aware of things you never realized and holds you accountable!
  4. Never take advice from someone who isn't where you want to be!
  5. I'm in Lockport and my sister and I were both sleeved in Mexico on June 24th. Both of us are doing very well and super exited by our new lives. Since 2 week pre-op I've lost 26lbs and my sister 34lbs. Since surgery, exactly 1 month-16lbs for me and 20 for her! You will rock this! It's a learning experience but it's not that hard, it's a lot of listening to your body. I've yo-yo dieted for 40 years and never knew this existed until February when a friend had it done. Absolutely awesome experience-so worth it!
  6. My sister and I had a great experience in Mexico -so worth it!! Research it, plan I, do it!!
  7. Good Luck!! It's an awesome thing!
  8. My sister, myself and 2 friends have all been sleeved by Dr Vanezuela with zero complications or issues! We all totally feel that it was the best medical experience we've all had. I would highly recommend Mexico Bariatric Center with Dr Vanezuela -a great experience!!
  9. You will do great! I was sleeved 6/24 in Mexico and it was a great experience! Embrace the journey!
  10. I'm 3 1/2 weeks out and had maybe half a lass and it was ine, no problems at all.
  11. My Doc said 60% is the sleeve, 20% nutrition and 20% is exercise-which makes perfect sense.
  12. You can get in 390 calories and 49 grams of protein in your morning shake, then the rest of the day isn't so hard. I make my morning shake with skim milk, 1/2 cup plain fat free greek yogurt and 1tablespoon natural peanut butter. I use chocolate protein powder so I get peanut butter choc flavor and the Greek yogurt cuts down the sweet-yummy.
  13. I take it back-1complaint- the Popsicles at the Marriott are terrible!! But seriously, that is our only complaint! Lol, and the broth is excellent!
  14. My sister and I were both just sleeved by Cabrera and Vanezuela on June 24th. It was an excellent experience and we are both very happy with how the whole experience unfolded. My sister is in hospital management and she said that the care was first rate and was very impressed with the hospital/surgeon/patient communication. We could not find one bad thing about the experience.
  15. I was sleeved 3 days before my 50th birthday! Best present for me!!
  16. Whoops that was sleeved not peeved!
  17. My sister Linda and I were both peeved Monday and doing great! Clear liquids for a week and it's not bothering either one of us. This is day 3 post op and we got up showered, put on make up and wnt out to walk the city. We were both a bit Gurgley but that's passing nd all is well. So far, do good! Hope all June sleeves are doing well!!
  18. Probably-someone might have had a similar experience. Everyone here is having or had it done in Mexico.
  19. I am here right now, my sister is in getting sleeved right now and I'm next-so far everything has been great. They were both in to meet us this morning and several other drs as well, so far no complaints at all! I'll keep you posted!
