I am just wondering if anyone else is experiencing lots of dead skin? I am two day post op today, and during my liquid diet and after my shower today I have been noticing lots of dead skin coming of. I have been keeping myself very hydrated and always moisturized before surgery, so I am thinking it isn't related to anything like. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I'm very interested to hear what the cause of this is. I have chronic dry skin problems, and this sounds like what my skin is like in the winter. I make my own brown sugar scrub, it's gentle on your skin and takes care of the dry skin issues. Do 3 cups of brown sugar, add (1/4th cup of regular sugar if you want extra texture) and then start off with 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil or any kind of olive oil, add more a little bit at a time until you get the consistency that you want. Good luck!

The week After surgery, my whole face peeled off. It was just like a light chemical peel. I asked my dermatologist about it. She had no clue. I don't think the sluffing off of dead skin is anything to worry about, though. If it keeps happening for a long time, see a doctor.

Actually, yeah, it's bizarre. I have dandruff for the first time in over a decade (like really bad, scratch-my-head-and-it-snows dandruff) and my skin is just awful. I attribute it to not having enough Water or fat in my diet but yesterday I felt like my entire face-skin was flaking off, icky.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
