All i have left to do before i go back for my second consultation with the surgeon is my colonoscopy on friday and my final weigh in with my PCP. I am feeling so tense and anxious. Everything on my body feels tense my head my shoulders my back. I feel like all i think about is the surgery.... I just want it to be done already. Any suggestions for stress relief?

I have found preparing for the surgery to be a stress reliever-buying Vitamins, Protein powders, etc. You could get a massage or learn to meditate. Hope it gets better for you soon. I find this whole process very stressful. I'm just waiting on my day, oct 3rd. Hope I don't freak too much at the hospital before the surgery. Going to try to learn that meditation for then :)

I am right there with you! I am nervously awaiting insurance approval. This surgery is all-consuming and it is all I think about all day. I feel like my future is hanging in the balance and if I don't get approved I'll plummet to a depression.

I have been checking out this site daily for information as well as researching Protein and drinks and recipes. There is a great thread that was started to include places to get free samples:http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/90613-list-of-bariatric-nutritional-companies-offering-free-samples/page__st__60#entry973054

Basically I am trying to occupy my time with learning and training myself for better eating habits. Good luck to you and I hope you do well!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
