how many carbs are you eating a day? you might need to up your carb intake. I remember months ago a person on here said they were eating under 60 carbs a day (maybe even less) and she could not lose weight with Protein alone and she was tired all of the time. you might need to up the carbs to 100. if not' date=' just stick to drinking more Water.[/quote']

That might be, because I eat very little or no carbs at all

Hey guys, I know talking about stalls may be frown upon , but I just have to vent. I don't know what else to do. I'm taking in all my Protein, not eating carbs( omg haven't had Pasta breads or rice since may ) don't eat junk drink Water eat fruits. I walk 4.5 a day. I'm just frustrated. I just want to see that d*** * scale move. Some say I'm not eating enough, not taking enough Protein. I know I take my protein because all I eat its Proteins . The shakes, chicken, meats and so on. I need help. I'm so discourage. :(

Maybe when the scales are not friendly, why don't you get out your fat clothes and try them on. Also you should have a tape measure to use to check your progress. It isn't all about pounds its about inches. I thought I had stalled but today I put on a 3x shirt that I could wear for years and it swamped me. So worry about weight loss, Your already sleeved, don't one of those people I see that pork out and tell that "yeah I had that surgery to but I guess I fell off the wagon a little". Its like at my support group meeting if you want to spend up to 11,000 dollars to throw in the towel but what a waste of your time and your health care providers if you just quit. Go to your nutritionist and talk to them. Do you use my fitnell pal to track your carbs, calories and protein. If you haven't start. Look at your history and see what that tells you. Please don't give up there is way too much to lose.

It's fun giving our bodies a kick start with food :D I average 60-90 g carbs a day and my NUT said to stay under 120g a day. I see plenty of people doing less and doing more. I seem to respond to that little niche in between. But, I can't go without any carbs. My daily (seriously, every day) is 1/2 - 1 oz stacy's pita chips and a low fat colby jack cheese stick. I don't eat bread ever as I don't feel good but I do get carbs in from other foods.

At my last doctor appointment, I found out that if you eat TOO MUCH Protein that it can cause the scale to stop moving down. The ideal amount, according to my dr and nutritionist, was between 60-70 grams with 70 being the ideal. I was eating closer to 80-90 because I was still drinking Protein Shakes along with eating protein at my meals...she said to reduce my protein and the scale did start moving again...

Dd you just reduce protein or did that also result in a total calorie restriction? In other words, did you substitute something else for the protein-reduced calories?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
