I've read a lot on here about people throwing up and I'm curious because when I initially met with my surgeon and we were discussing sleeve vs lap band he said there wasn't throwing up with the sleeve? So what causes it? Is it a pretty normal occurrence? Thanks for any clarification- not trying to be gross

I'm 7 weeks post op and have never thrown up or been nauseous, not even in the hospital.

I'm almost 6 months post-op and I've never thrown up (due to the sleeve) however I can say when I had the stomach flu throwing up was totally different now vs. pre-op!

I threw up a lot right after surgery and I was throwing up blood! You couldn't have told me I wasn't going to die. Every time I moved, barf! They switched my pain meds and I stopped! Did leak test the following day and all was good. No puking since then. I'm only 8 days post-op so no telling what the future holds.

In my case, I am vomit farely regularly. Had stricture and needed dilation and will have another next week. Sometimes it happens when you stomach is too small or their is scar tissue that narrows the stomach/esophogus or pyloris(in my case).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
