Ok, in fairness summer is back with a vengeance in my neck of the woods just when it looked like things were cooling off, we have had a series of 70-80 degree days. I have been afflicted with this new disgusting disorder, any time I move, or even stand, I sweat buckets. Its really a problem, it is dripping off of my neck, it is pouring down my forehead. I am not jogging I am walking and have deliberately started walking at a painfully slow moseying pace. I am not moving while standing just standing and talking. I have even been sweating in the shower! What the hell is wrong with me? My husband keeps saying he thinks it will be good for weight loss, Im thinking, do you have any idea how much effort it took to put that Water inside of me that you are so carelessly allowing to pour out in bucketfuls if I do anything other than lay down and breathe shallowly? Just wondering if anyone else is having this new found problem and most importantly when it can be expected to stop.

Your not on thyroid medicine are you? Too much can cause this along with a fast pulse.

You are talking about hyperhidrosis, I think...do you blush also?

No thyroid meds no blushing, just melting. Dont want to blame everything on a lack of a stomach but it has only been happening since the surgery.

This was happening to me too. It's getting better. One thing my internist told me was that the body's way of fighting inflammation is with heat. Seriously I thought I was going through menopause. I'm at 4 weeks today and it's better but not 100 percent gone . I spend a lot of time under the ceiling fan. How far out are you?

I hate to tell you, but for the first two weeks I'd wake up at night in a flop sweat. It has gotten much better, so don't despair!

Seems as Im hot all the time, not too sweaty, however. And I do have hypothryoidism. Where do u live that its only 70-80 in late Aug? I live in So Or where its not too terribly hot but the average is between 95 and 105 the whole month of Aug. There's no way I would make it in Az!!!

Not sure what it is. My husband sweats alot (when Im freezing in the bowling alley, he's dripping with sweat. U should see him at the gym. He must lose about 3 lbs in sweat.) Hypothryroidism is sneaky tho. Its sposed to make u cold all the time (hyper is what makes u hot) but Im always hot.

Good luck 2 u.

This happened to me between weeks 4 and 7 - permanent brow sweat and icky moistness everywhere else. One time, after walking to my office, a big drop of sweat rolled down the back of one leg... ewww. I live in a hot, humid area but c'mon. It's improved greatly at 9 weeks out.

I haven't been sleeved yet but looking forward to not sweating so much! It's embarrassing when a simple walk makes you spill buckets:(

I can sweat in a cold shower! I hope having the sleeve changes this???

I'm sorry to hear that. I had been a sweat hog prior to surgery. Now I'm cold ALL the time. I went from always hot to always cold. I barely sweat anymore and I LOVE IT!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
