I think I was able to eat salads 8 weeks out. I really enjoyed it the few times I had them. However, I can no longer eat them.

TMI Warning:

They give me runny BMs, and I get immense gas pain.

So they might something to watch out for. Too much corn also gives me immense gas pain as well. Although, cooked cabbage is no problem at all.

I am at week 15 post op and tried my first salad today. I had red leaf lettuce and spinach leaves with "broccoli slaw and slivered carrots", 1 roma Tomato, cheddar cheese (shredded) and the mini turkey rounds (the slices are the size of pepperoni) I added my fav dressing (basalmic vinegrette) and was able to eat about 1/2 the mix (about 1/2 cup total) The dressing seemed very strong to me which is a first. I didn't even use a teaspoon of dressing. I was happy I didn't have any stomach problems and this was my first attempt at fresh veggies. Next time I will try a different Salad Dressing though

I had warm spinach salad this week (twice) with no issues so I am going to try lettuce tomorrow.

I cant wait! I'm at 15 weeks too.

Well I guess I still can't eat lettuce. I was messed up for over an hour after eating red leaf lettuce. I tried on two different days too. I think I will try in 2 weeks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
