1 month post op today

Recommended Posts

Today I am 1 month post op. I have lost 19.2 lbs so I guess I'll be a slow loser but have lost a ton of inches. I'm overall a happier person and excited for what lies ahead. I have been fortunate that I had a speedy recovery and have had no issues with food or illnesses. I look healthier already and feel fantastic. So for anyone at the same point in time as me, stay positive. My weight loss in pounds may not be drastic but I'm totally ok with slow and steady. Happy Friday!!!

I seem to be a really slow loser as well, so thanks for such an upbeat post. I really wanted to be one of those who is so amazed at how fast the weight drops off and instead find myself calculating how many YEARS it will take me to reach my goal if I only lose 1-2 lbs per month. Here's hoping we BOTH hit a nice little slide soon to bolster confidence and give us a little push forward. Again, thanks for the post!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
