I'm 10 days post op and I'm eating mushies. My stomach is rumbling and grumbling everything I swallow or i guess the food goes down almost like my tummy is growling. Does this ever stop? Has anyone else had this happen? When will that tightness in between my breast stop as I'm eating? My dr says that's the top of my new narrow stomach. Thanks in advance all.

I'm almost six months out and my tummy still makes noise. It has quieted down some. But it still likes to talk back.

As for the tightness in your chest when you eat, how big of bites are you taking? I try not to take bits bigger then my thumbnail because if I do, I'm uncomfortable for a while. Try small bites spaced out and see if that helps.

I'm in my 9th week and the gurgles and rumbling is still loud LOL I hope it gets better...

I agree with the others, maybe try to take smaller bites and chew, chew, chew so it's almost like liquid going down...(even on mushies)

Thanks everyone. I tried again today and took smaller bites and it was better with the tightness. It makes me slow down.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
