Surgery on Friday the 16th!

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am a Christian and I live in the Bay Area of California . I am going to Mexico tomorrow with my boyfriend to have the surgery. I am getting flack from my older sister about the surgery ( she has a friend who had the lap band and it has gone bad) and I don't dare tell her I am having it done in Mexico. I would like prayer to guide the surgeons hands and that there won't be any complications. His name is Dr. Illian, he comes highly recommended. I am having it Friday.

Thank you and God bless ! I would love to hear more about your post-op experiences.

All the best,

Lisa Marie Smith

Hey frosty' date='

How are you doing??[/quote']

I am doing ok, thank you for your prayers. I am a bit weak, just because I have had so few calories. I just can't get anything down, more than about 5 or 6 sips. I am a week out, I am just tired and feeling whooped easily. I would like to walk my dog, but I have no energy.

How is everyone else doing ?

God bless,

Lisa

I'm glad you made it through and checked in :)

The first week was really hard for me too.

I really only walked around the house and slept.

Just try and sip an oz of Water every 15 minutes.

Take care,

Laura

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
