The Beachbody folks have a new workout from the creator of Insanity, Shaun T. (Beachbody has several well known fitness DVD programs out, P90X, Insanity, Turbofire).

Focus T25 is similar to Insanity, but is only 25 minutes long, five days per week and lasts for 60 days. Guess I am an easy sell, because I was very excited to receive this! It comes with a easy meal guide with few ingredients, a road map to take you through the program, and two different sets of DVD's.

Although I only started this today, I am hopeful it will get me most of the way to losing my last 30 pounds.

Anyone else doing Focus T25?

Thanks for the tip. Just this morning, I was thinking that soon it will be time to find something harder to do at home or I will need to put together my own. :)

So far, I really like it. It's a lot of jumping and I wouldn't recommend if you have knee or ankle problems.

Using my heart rate monitor, I am burning about 350 calories in 25 minutes, so it is really a good calorie burn!

Will post some more info after I complete this week. The eating plan is very VSG friendly too! So far so good..

How soon could you do this after sugery? I have been wanting to try it.....

As far as being easy to follow, I would suggest watching before doing so you don't have to stop and figure out what is going on.

I really started heavy exercise about 3 months after surgery and just walked before that. So, i think the three month mark would be a good place to start. Also, when you start may depend on your weight. Obviously if you have a lot of weight to lose, all the jumping might be uncomfortable on joints.

But if you can stand 25 minutes of going full blast, this is wonderful.

I started the exercise and eating plan Monday and have lost 5.7 lbs and it is only Wednesday! Crazy but wonderful!

Wow - incredible short term weight loss! I am jealous!! If only the program did not cost so much.

Thanks! I am viewing the cost as an investment to help me get to goal.

With the 60 day program, it ends up being about $2 per day and I can afford that. If you wait a few months, it will probably for sale cheap on eBay or Craigslist! Lol...

That's good to know. I am going to look for a cheap copy when everyone is tired of their copy.

I have been doing T25 for a month and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Love the 25 minute workouts and the effect the workouts have on my body. I've lost inches and 5 pounds. They have a great cookbook that comes with it with 5 easy ingredients and short prep time. I am having my gallbladder out on Wednesday and bummed I had to stop the workouts before moving to the next phase so excited to get back into it when my doctor clears me to workout again. If anyone is interested in their products let me know T25 is actually on sale through beachbody through the end of August and amI in a group on FB with a ton of people all doing T25 and supporting each other through the workouts.

I am so glad you are having such great results with T25!! :-)

I started doing slim in 6 express from beachbody a little less than a month out and made sure I wasn't doing ab exercises until I was cleared from my doctor. Slim in 6 was a great way to get back into exercising for me b/c it was light, easy on me and the weights I used (3 and 5 pounds) were within my allotted weights I could use after my surgery.

T25 uses a lot of core work so it really depends on when your surgery was or is. Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer whatever I can!! :-)

Is it pretty easy to follow?

The workouts themselves are easy to follow and there is a modifier (Shaun T's sidekick Tanya, she's fantastic!!) in all of the workouts so you can modify what you need to. The ab workouts are difficult for me and I def need to modify them but I've seen myself get better of the few weeks I've been doing them. It's great because when it gets too hard I don't need to stop and I can modify and jump back in when I'm ready.

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!
