Try going out for a short walk. It helped with me.

I'm sorry that you are uncomfortable...walk, walk, walk...that is the "magic pill" in this case. While it might be hard to believe, this will be in your rear view mirror before you know it

I agree with the above. Walking helps gas pains better than anything. The pain and discomfort will pass!!

I also had surgery on Tuesday, so I'm right there with you! Make sure that you are walking like everyone says... I actually feel good when I'm moving and hurt more when I've been sitting too long.

Also don't let your pain meds wear off yet. I accidentally did that yesterday and boy did I know it!!! If they said to take it every four hours, take it every 4 hours. Plus gasX is helpful too :-)

You can also try alternating ice and heat. I forget which does what, but they both do good things to help with healing and pain.

Good luck!!!

Even when you aren't walking, doing something like rocking in a rocking chair can help a lot. Any kind of movement is good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
