What was his price? Was it all inclusive? Did he make you jump through a lot of hoops before?

I am having my surgery at St. Luke's in PHX, with Dr. Juarez, Abdominal Surgeons is his practice and he works with Bridges AZ. Very good Dr. Spent a lot of time with me in my appointment with him, and it depends on your insurance requirements what you need to do. Unless you're paying cash. His office lays everything out for you, and they help you get everything in order to get you approved, but ultimately it's up to your insurance. My surgery is Aug 19th.

Insurance paid for mine. He does have an all inclusive price. I think $18000? Only hoops ahead of time are psych eval and nut eval.

As much as I like him, I said if insurance denied me, I would go to Mexico.

Good luck!

I am seeing his practice partner Dr. Chiasson in Tucson with The Southern Arizona Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery. They go through Northwest Medical Center which is "Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence". They train other surgeons.

So far so good. Insurance is paying mine. Yes the cash price is roughly $18k.

I have also heard people like Dr. Robin Blackstone in Phoenix.

I'm seeing Dr Chassion too. I love their office, their pre-op seminar was fun, informative and hosted by The head nurse at Northwest hospitals bariatric department. My surgery is on the 28th of this month and although I'm nervous, none of that has to do with Dr Chassion or his team.

I wish you luck in finding your right fit!

Very happy to see some fellow Tucsonans. I have been very happy with Dr Burpee and the office so far. The stay at Northwest was very good. No complaints.

I was sleeved by Dr. Chaisson in November 2012. Loved the care at Northwest Medical Center and Dr. chaisson's office is great also. Have been very pleased.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
