Shrinking body... Jealous Husband :(

Recommended Posts

I've always been a big girl... I was determined to get the sleeve a couple of years ago when I found out that I was eligible through my insurance. My husband and I have been together for 4 years. He's always been a jealous person due to his ex wife cheating on him with his best friend so I understood his insecurities... I got sleeved on May 30th and since I have been dropping weight, he's been VERY jealous over any little attention I get. I don't flaunt myself or flirt but I have been proud of myself and have bought myself new clothes that fit right and he has just flipped his lid. It has been such a struggle... Am I the only one dealing with a jealous or envious spouse?!? How can I show him I'm not going anywhere and that I'm the same ol me...

This is a common occurrence. Counseling as a couple would be a really good idea. I wish you the best. :-)

I wish my husband would show a little jealousy. Not a lot -- just a wee bit would make me happy. Crazy to hear that huh? Maybe we should go out more. Anyways- I don't think he is being dumb. He has been hurt before. Counseling is the best route. Get a professional to help you. You wouldn't want the situation to get even worse.

I concur about some couple's therapy...so many times we are in a dynamic that we don't even know/realize all of the ins and outs of...his jealousy is something he needs to work through...I guarantee (said in the voice of Foghorn Leghorn) that issue has been an underlying element of more situations (both his actions and your responses) than you realize

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
