The stitch finally popped! Yay :D

I'm 31 days post-op, and the stitch in my muscle on my right side has finally popped...at least I think that's what it was. Anyway, the point of all this is: No more pain!

Woohoo!

Can you describe this feeling?! I'm only 5 days PO And felt like a bubble popped on my right side with a warm running sensation?! Could this be similar to yours, but earlier?!

I went to sit up from the couch I was on and there was just a painless and smooth feeling of release on my abdomen, and after that I wasn't in any more pain.

I'm 4 weeks post-op, so it might not be the same thing you had as your stitches aren't healed yet.

Mine popped Wed at about 3 weeks PO. I was in the motion of sitting down and I felt a pinch then all of the pressure release and actually heard a loud pop. It was awesome because I was still having to put he heating pad on it a night. After that I did not have any more pain. I was sore there for a couple of days but now when I sit, walk, bend over or anything else I don't have pain :)

That's great! I was hoping it wouldn't take that long. A month is a long time to feel the burning, pinching pain. At least there is an end to it in sight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
