Fiddleman went clothes shopping?!?

Recommended Posts

My hubby just impressed the heck out of me! He came back from an outing and announced he had been clothes shopping at Old Navy for himself- alone! I usually have to drag him kicking and screaming into clothing stores and he goes by himself? And on top if that he actually picked out some pretty stylish threads- AND they were on the clearance rack! I can't wait for more of this clothes shopping stuff- and can't wait to see him in a well fitted suit! Hubba Hubba!

Thanks proudgranny! Yep, somebody had to marry this guy to make sure he's taken care of and doesn't do anything loco. :) We're going on 13 years of marriage and it's only getting better every year! Five days post op and I feel great! I'm able to get in 80-90 oz of fluids on top of 3-4 shakes per day plus all my Vitamins. I walk 2-3 times a day and was off pain pills from my third day back- I'm not even needing Tylenol! Fiddleman asked me after a walk a few days ago, " are you sure you're not just acting super tough or anything?" LOL. I just told him "nope- just doing what I feel I can do!". Maybe years of dealing with arthritis pain (since age 17) has helped toughen me up...not sure. But I'm feeling dandy and was outside yesterday watering my garden and pruning my clematis vines. I am so looking forward to swimming, Zumba, ballroom dancing (fiddleman is joining me!) and rowing crew this summer and fall! Walking is so flipping boring! Oh well- I'll find something to make it entertaining until I'm cleared to do other stuff. Had my first dream about food last night- eating a Tomato salad until I remembered I was on liquids only and I had to spit it out! My dreams are all about veggies and fruit! I'm tolerating shakes just fine once I switched to soy- figured that might happen since I was lactose intolerant as a baby. I can't wait to get to purée though- 7lbs down from dos already! Hooray! Clothes are already fitting so much better and even getting too big. I can't wait for my shopping spree! :)

He needs to post fashion show pics.

Agreed! Maybe I can get him to try on a suit soon too. I'm going to enter him into Redbook's sexy husband contest. :)

How cool. Post pics when you can. Love looking at fashion forward sleevers.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
