I finally have my surgery date (8/14) and I am beyond excited. Looking for some sleeve buddies to go through this process with. I have been making changes already and so far so good. I have increased my activity level and stopped drinking Diet Dr Pepper, which was a huge change for me. What is everyone else doing to prepare? Does anyone who is post op have any helpful tips for things to have on hand after surgery?

I am super excited for tomorrow.. My grandma which doesn't approve of the surgery called today with her last ditch effort to get me to cancel.. And my daughter is home sick from school so she's quarantined to her room.. But I am gonna make the most of today.. Are the rest of my 27th sleevers ready?

Oh bad luck! I had 2 surgeries cancelled due to illness before got sleeved. Third time lucky. Hope your sore throat passes.

Did you open the omepraxole & mix or swallowed whole? I opened mine.

Well I am in my real count down, I will be changing my life on Thursday and I am having so many different emotions that I feel like I just can't focus on anything. I am starting to get things in order to that everything will be good when I get home. I am prayed up so I know I am going to come out fine so all that's left to do is pack. So ready for the change. ????

I had mine on this past Thursday. You will be just fine. God has it in his hands. By the time they hook up iv you will be out and it will be all over with

Good luck all of you. Had surgery last wednesday so 6 days ago. Feeling fine a little dizzy at times. Sipping powerade zero fruit punch water gets me buy. Today had some chocolate greek yogurt that my daughter had half of. When i am cleared fir cheeses i will take a slice if pizza and eat the cheese/sauce only.

I am tomorrow too....mine is in the afternoon so I am just waiting around. I am a bit nervous

It tasted metallic to me and I couldn't eat it either

Got a call from the hospital this evening.. Surgery moved up.. Have to be there at 11:10 and surgery at 12:10.. Not moved up by much.. But hey I will take an hour.. Good luck tomorrow to all of my fellow 27th sleevers..
