Anyone else getting sleeved in August?

  • Popular Post

I finally have my surgery date (8/14) and I am beyond excited. Looking for some sleeve buddies to go through this process with. I have been making changes already and so far so good. I have increased my activity level and stopped drinking Diet Dr Pepper, which was a huge change for me. What is everyone else doing to prepare? Does anyone who is post op have any helpful tips for things to have on hand after surgery?

Surgery on 8/19' date=' weight date of surgery 208, (lost 11 during 2 week diet), today's weight 196. Feeling pretty normal, focusing on H20, protein (mostly liquid form), and incorporating mooshy foods as I can. And supplements, just switched calcium from Sweet Indulgence (dark chocolate bar) to Bariatric advantage (6 chews a day). I chose raspberry and lemon).

Exercise is not as vigorous as I believe I should be. Been walking, but not vigorously. I've done weights a little :)

I was kept in the hospital for 2 nights and 3 days. When I got home from the hospital I Weighed 5 lbs more then when I went in. My blood pressure was out of control and nausea was terrible. I threw up one time at the hospital and felt so much better after that, it was the scariest thing I've experienced.

Tonight I'm going out with my husband and our church friends...looking forward to getting dolled up :)

Blessings to all! Wanted to share a little...[/quote']your stats are similar to mine..was 216 day of surgery..gained 11 pounds when I got home from hospital..lol I retain a lot of water...now I am 4 weeks post op and down to 193. Slowly squeezing back into my prepregnancy wardrobe!!!

Hey everyone. I am really feeling good Thursday will be two weeks and I go to the doc on Wednesday. I seem to be down from sw 306 and cw 295 but starting weight was 320 so I am feeling better about my decision since the gas is gone and I can take in more. I am back at work today and very happy about it, need to get away from my house. I have to figure out how to work my food for the day since my schedule is so crazy working 12-8pm. I don't want to eat that late at night but may have to in order to make sure my meals are spaced out. Has anyone set up a schedule for themselves to make sur you are eating enough?

Ok well this is my 1 month update picture... I think i can see a little difference in my face, im so excited i have only loss 12 lbs post op and 27 since liquid diet. I cant wait to see the changes down the road

My pic is very similar to yours I can see it mostly in my face and upper body. 5 1/2 weeks out almost 6 weeks (8/11/2013)

Finally, someone who was sleeved on the same day as me! You're looking good! You can definitely see your loss. Congrats!

It's only a day difference... Most places don't do surgery on a Sunday

True. Im in the UK and alot of surgeons here work for the NHS during the week and privately at weekends. As a self pay patient I was scheduled for a Sunday.
