  1. I walk as well but my surgeon suggested this. I'm so grown up. Needles are like kryptonite but I have evolved. So proud of me... Good luck all sleevers. Aug. 19th is my new birthdate.
  2. Hey people, I am 3-days post-op! 8/19 and feeling good. I am getting my fluids in taking anti gall stone pills and prilosec along with all liquid vitamins from C, B-Complex, B-12, multi, Hair nails skin, calcium caltrate among other things. What's puzzling to me is I havent read anyone else discussing giving shots 2x to the abdomen after surgery. They are blood thinners but I was terrified but I did it. So happy. HW: 285 SW: 270 GW: 160
  3. You can do juices? Wow...I am on a low carb, high Protein liquid diet post-op 3days. What recipes are you doing?
  4. Good job and don't worry it's done.
  5. Sleeved 8/19 no shoulder/gas pain. No major issues except I wanna sleep on my side. I did have a slight fever 8/20 & headache. Blood pressure acted up too. Right now it's all about staying hydrated. Gettin my 4oz in. Protein shakes are tolerable...lol I am overall happy. Does anyone else have to give themselves a shot 2x a day of a blood thinner? I prolly would have reconsidered on that tidbit alone. Terrified of needles BUT I PUT ON MY BIG GIRL PANTIES, INHALED, AND PRICKED MYSELF LIKE A PRO. SO GLAD TO BE HOME.
  6. I am up and ready. Reporting to the hospital for 6am. I pray for minimal gas pains and less prodding. I am going to put on my big girl panties and suck up the whole experience. See you all on the losers bench.
  7. Happy Birthday and what a great present to yourself.
  8. Do you have puréed recipes on hand? How do you know what will taste good?
  9. Mine is Aug. 19th as well.
  10. Hey Rbert, glad to know you are feeling great. I am so nervous about the gas pains everyone complains about...
  11. Met my surgeon yesterday and did the pre-admission testing...I dropped 2lbs...I officially didn't start the pre-op until 8/12. My surgery is Monday 8/19 but I don't know the time yet. She is doing two of us on that day...I hope I'm second...lol
  12. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.
  13. I just opened up my approval letter for 8/19 OMG I AM TOTALLY BEYOND SCARED NOW!!!! I am so thankful I chose The Brooklyn Hospital...close to home and the service impeccable.
