  1. I also had mine on Aug 27th, 2013.. how is everyone's progress? How is everyone feeling?
  2. Thanks girlies.. It nice to know that I am not the only one.. and that there isn't something 'wrong' with me. I am determined to have the 20lbs off before the end of summer.. I know I can do this.. if I can get through all that I went through to have this surgery then I can do this.. And I will eventually get to the point that I love my body.. I just have to take it a day at a time.. :/
  3. Hey ladies.. I wanted to see if anyone else is feeling the same way that I am. Aug. 27th, 2014 will be one year for me. My doctor wants me to loose another 20lbs (which I am stalling and so hard to do... I have already lost 85) But when I look in the mirror I still see the size 20.. I still feel like I am the fatty that went in for the surgery.. Help.. ahh..
  4. It's been a hot minute since I have been on the forum.. Life has been extremly busy for me.. between working all the time taking care of life and kids I don't seem to have much free time anymore. I wanted to touch base and see how all of my Aug 27th sleevers are doing.. I can honestly say that I LOVE my body and I LOVE my sleeve!! I am not where I want to be... but I have come a long way from where I was! This is a marathon and I work hard at it everyday..
  5. I love this thread. I am a little over two months (8-27). And I confess.. - this is harder than I ever thought it would be - I wish I could eat the way I used to - since loosing the weight I haven't been hit on once.. - I just now jot rid of all my bigger clothes because I am afraid I will just go back and have to re buy all those - I eat things I know I probably shouldn't - posting things in this forum is kinda of scary because of fear of judgment - I drink alcohol and caffeine - I am more self conscious now than I ever have been - I still see the fat girl I was - I haven't been to the gym - my body grosses me out - sex now.. Hurts - I snack more than I should - I still think this was the best thing I have ever done for me - peoples comments about my weight loss makes me uncomfortable - my family isn't that supportive
  6. I'm in.. Surgery date was 8-27.. Surgery weight-221 Current weight-180 Goal for thanksgiving- 170 I'm a slow loser and have been in and out of stalls..
  7. Best advice I can give it just breath! And don't focus some hon the pounds that you loose as opposed to all the NSV's that you have and inches lost.
  8. It all varies on your program.. Mine cleared me for anything at three weeks. I don't eat bread.. But that's my own choice.
  9. Congrats on your decision.. It's a big one.. We have all been in your shoes.. Listen to your niece.. Hair will grow back, there cNt be another you. Best of luck!
  10. Sending good jue jue your way for a fast approval!
  11. Hey all.. Great work by all so far.. I had a surgery date of August 28.. My weight before the pre op diet was 222, surgery day I was down to 215, and now I am at 180. Don't get me wrong I am SUPER happy with the weight that is gone.. I am just starting to get discouraged because the scale hasn't moved in like two weeks! I don't weight everyday.. I know that will drive me crazy.. I way twice a week! So that makes it more discouraging for me.. I guess I'm just in need of some encouragement and some good jue jue to get me out of this darn stall.
  12. Oddly enough when my tummy doesn't feel so well.. I drink pickle juice and it makes it feel better. There are always pickles in my house.. Now for two reasons..
  13. Keep your mind and hands busy.. Find a craft or hobby to do around the house. Get out of the house go for a walk or take the kids to the park.. Hope things get better for you.
  14. As anyone tried these? A friend of mine had a party the other night and I wasn't going to do one but I did it to make her happy. Ever since I did it I have had a low dull headache and my tummy feels tighter and a little sore. They said those aren't common side effects.. I wonder what has caused them. Does anyone know if the results last?
  15. I take two 500mg Bariatric Advantage Caramel chews a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. I also take one 1,000mg Biotin tablet with my breakfast.. I like how it's making my nails grow. With lunch I take two One a Day with added C chewable gummies. I take two fiber one gummies a day whenever I get them in. And right before bed I take two B12 gummies.
  16. Thanks guys.. I think that I am going to call my doctor tomorrow and see what he thinks..
  17. I am super light headed and dizzy. I feel like I am going to pass out. I will be one month out on Friday. This is the first time that I have had it this bad. I don't know what's up. I have eaten, and I am drinking a good amount of water. I even drank some real sugar (mixed in tea) thinking maybe I needed it because my blood sugar was dropping. I literally feel drunk. Has anyone else had this?
  18. Welcome.. You came to the right place. You will find a ton of information on here, and the people are really nice. You have to keep in mind every practice is different and what some are told to do is not what you are going to be told to do. Always adhere to what your doctor has told you to do. Best of luck and hope you get your date soon!
  19. That's amazing.. Great job!
  20. Don't we all.. Lol.. But if there is anything that I have learned great things come to those who wait. Keep trying and working hard and you will get there.. I have faith in ya!
  21. August 27th sleever here.. I am LOVING my decision to get my sleeve. There are times I wonder if they actually sleeved me at all.. but then there are times I know for sure. I have lost since the beginning of the pre op diet a total of 37lbs!! I have returned to work a week ago, which has turned out to be more of a struggle than I thought it would be. I am on nights, trying not to eat during the day when I'm up so I can save my meals for at night.. its just all confusing. I'm still struggling to get all my protein and fluids in.. but I try and that's all I can do. I can't wait to hit the gym.. going today to see what all they offer. I hope all my other 8-27 sleevers are doing well.. hard to believe in a week we will be one month out!! one day at a time..
  22. Great job.. Congrats on the loss
