  1. Hi guys I had first follow up on the 5th and I'm down 19 pounds so that's 38.9 including pre op weight loss. I was wondering if anyone plans their meals for the day or week. What seems to work?
  2. I agree with you I tried another brand of clear protein drink cryo sport or something like that and clear whey taste like vomit which makes me gag. I'm only doing one atkins shake a day and just bought some protein shots to see if that would help. I'm now having indigestion from most fluids?
  3. Wow....our weight loss is about the same. 361 pre op day of surgery 347. Today 323. What type of exercise do you do. I'm almost two weeks post open this Thursday?
  4. Don't feel bad we all have tested the waters before it was time. I had a chip because I was craving salt.
  5. I just had to try and eat Soup while all my family ate on hamburgers and hot dogs and Pasta.......then I could only eat 1/4 th of it. It will get better.
  6. I loved those before surgery now its two sweet so I force down a protein shake down over two hours. Ugggh
  7. We share same day. I still am really tired. I take anxiety meds so none of those feelings , but I don't feel like doing any thing.
  8. Had mine the day before you and I'm still feeling blah. You all?
  9. I had the same issues the doctor said it was due to the type of surgery we had. Anyway being a nurse I knew to ask for one zofran on a schedule, so every 4-6 hours and ask them about levsin, also called hyoscyamine. It was a god sent. Also if they have you on ativan you can take with zofran and it will decrease nausea before you walk. Also eat plenty of ice to help with swelling before after and during walks....only way I was able to be released from hospital. God is with you it will get better.
  10. Its Fluid that accumulated from swelling in the area of surgery.
  11. So I'm a week post op. And I only leave bed to go to kitchen or Walmart for supplies. Glad to hear its not only me. How are u all with getting protein in?
  12. I just do the atkins shakes. Only one I can get down post open day 6.
  13. Hello wanted to let you all know I'm post op day five. Feeling better just started having back pain from gas. But only last seconds so bearable. Not hungry at all but trying to keep fluids up rather than worry on Protein. Good luck all.
  14. I did a lot of ice chips in hospital. And then they started giving me juice which I was able to dilute and get in slowly.
  15. Yeah I was. Only tolerating ice child....now water and juice mixed or diluted
  16. Thanks I'm day four in the hospital . It was rough the first three days now I'm taking in enough fluid and walking.
