Sluggish, tired, no energy:(

3 weeks post op today and I feel so tired all the time! When do you start to feel the energy again! I can't hardly clean my kitchen without having to take a break before I finish!!

I thought I would be so much further along by now!!

Once you heal, the energy is unreal. I scare myself sometimes at how clean my house is! I get home and clean all night. I don't sit down until about 8pm. It's great. And my yard is weed free.. haha..

  • It took me almost 7-8 weeks to feel normal again. I'm 11 weeks out and I have more energy than I know what to do with now.

  • omg thank god i thought i was the only one that felt that way cant wait till i feel normal...

I'm having a hard time getting all my protein in, the protein shakes make me sick and nauseated! The puréed stage I'm on makes me gag when I see the food mixed up and chopped in the food processor!! My nut told me to just stick with the foods that work for now and do the best I could!!

That should be required for ever! It really does help. I have been very tired lately since I slacked off my B12.

My surgery was 8/13/13. I feel exactly the same way. No pain or vomiting, but extremely listless. I am trying to eat. Nothing taste good. My dr told me I would probably never reach 64 oz of liquids as I started out a little smaller than some,

but I get as much as possible. I'm normally energetic so this is very discouraging.

How far out are you?

I'm having a hard time also. Did greek yogurt and I can do one atkins shake a day anymore than that and I'm hurting and feeling stuffed.

You'll feel better once you can start on soft foods. I was exhausted for the first 3 weeks also. I couldn't deal with puréed foods, so since I had never had any complications, my nutritionist let me go to soft, soft foods at 3 weeks. Then I started walking more and my energy returned.
