If everything goes well....my date is set for 8/21 with Dr. Rod in MX. My coordinator has been wonderful. (JoAnne) I am super scared as I've never undergone general anesthesia in my life! I hope I don't react badly to it. I'm going to have to go over my pre and post op diet instructions again as I believe it wasn't a "liquid" diet as much as a low carb, liver shrinking type....maybe I missed something? hmmmm... now i'm worried

I will be sometime in August and I am very excited about the procedure and what it means for my future but nervous about the surgery going well. Is anyone else a scaredy cat like me about the surgery? I am consumed with fear about it. Yikes!!!

I called today to get the ball rolling on my complication insurance, since I will be having surgery out of the country and my health insurance excludes WLS. Not scared yet, just excited. However, what will happen is that I will be TERRIFIED on surgery day!!!

What insurance are you looking at? I knew this was possible but had no Idea where to start! You can message me the info if you'd like...thanks!

I just got my date today--August 7th!! I just have to do 2 weeks at 1200 calories, then the last 48 hrs will be liquid only--I can handle that. I'm down about 40 lbs over the 5 months leading up to this....ready to really start making progress, I want to drop another 140. Which sounds like a crazy high amount, but I know it's possible!

I thought I was August 1 but it will be either 8/1 or 8/9. A bit disappointed but I will persevere, it's only a week.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
