Hey everyone, I have a quick question. ...what were your doctors orders as far as diet after surgery? I had my surgery on 6/13, was put on Clear Liquids from day 1-10, soft foods such as yogurt, pudding and cream of Soups day 10-20, then mashed up baby like food from day 20-30.

When I leave the hospital after surgery, I will be on full liquids including Protein Shakes and strained creamy Soups for three weeks. After three weeks it's on to pureed foods for two weeks.

I bought food from my clinic which has alot of choices. So Protein Drinks and Soups, mostly they wanted me to get in 2fluids for every Protein drink. I didn't get alot in but at 2 weeks I could go to soft foods but I could also start eating protein chips from our clinic which are really good and crackers and such with tuna. That stage is 2-6 weeks. I am one month in and have added some other thinks to my diet. Tonight I had turkey meatballs and they went down well. Egg salad is another favorite. I read another person on here does a glass of skim milk in the am and pm and that has really helped me. Easiest thing for me to get down is a glass of milk and I started that around week 1. Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
