August 2013 Roll Call

I even pushed myself to a 3 mile hike all up hill on mountains yesterday and I weighed myself this morning and I STILL haven't broke the scale yet. Standing still at the same weight for almost five days now. I don't know what to do anymore

Maybe you're making yourself crazy by getting on the scale at all right now? :)

As hard as it might be, why not put it out of reach for a week or two...think you might be pleasantly surprised when you do weigh in.

Funny thing is, prior to surgery I never liked ice or anything too cold for that matter. I always went with room temp liquids. However, now ice has become one of my favorites. I am in love with the sugar free tropical flavored popsicle. Yum. Feel better!

I feel how I look! My stomach won't let me eat nothing but ice chips!

Hi Jules, not to be too TMI, but have you had a good BM lately? My weight stayed the same for several days, I felt sluggish because I hadn't had a decent BM. My doc told me to take some milk of magnesia. It worked. Afterwards, I have much more energy and I've been losing steadily.

Hi LadyJay, I'm having that problem... No BM :/ My sleeve was exactly a week ago today. I've tried the benefit, Miralax, andoday i did take a total of 4 tablespoons of Milk of Mag. I'm just so desperate at this point i don't know what else to do. Drinking enough Water and still on liquid diet. I don't know what else to do... Ideas?

Haha me too! Always been a big Water drinker but preferred it room temp, now can only drink it if it's cold. Love the sf popsicles too! :-)

I took colon cleanz and it worked but made me feel sick too. dr said it was ok to take though, but for something less harsh, he suggested I try prune juice. I drink a cup every morning and it has been working. It's not a great taste but give it a try.

I hat to say it, because I know it's gross....but maybe it's time for a suppository?

I know lady. It's been 14 days and I have had only one small bm. I have tried everything. Milk of mag, moral ax, two other brand laxatives, ducolax, and the one time I did go I had use a fleet enema.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
