August 2013 Roll Call
I think everybody is different, like everything. I was really never tired. My mom had to remind me to stay still "you just had surgery" she said.. And she wouldn't let me do anything, I love her. I didn't really nap at all. The hardest day for me, of course, was day 1. Other than that it's been unbelievably easy. No pain, a little nausea rarely though. I went swimming for the first time yesterday and stationary bike felt good, I was a little tired after that. My surg was on 8/27. I'm a nurse, it's my 2nd week back at work and it's ok. So grateful that things had been working out this way. I was expecting a harder recovery but I'm not complaining. SO BLESSED!! Sending everyone good positive vives

Well, I'm more worried about not being able to eat the grape since I'm not supposed to eat any solids for another 4 weeks. I don't want to have eruption of the staples :/- August 2013 Roll Call
OMG, i just ate a grape!! I totally forgot for that 1 second. I'm still on the liquid diet for another week.- August 2013 Roll Call
Yeah, I didn't loose any weight for 8 days and that was right after the Surg. But now it's starting to move down again at about 3/4 lb a day BUT also remember that someone who's 300+ lbs is gonna drop much more weight than someone who's 200+ you know. So really you can't compare yourself to others. Make sure you eat so you can keep your metabolism going and get enough Protein so you don't loose muscle. Pretty soon you'll be sharing your before and after pics ; ) Good luck- August 2013 Roll Call
Yes, weeks. Lol- August 2013 Roll Call
Well yes, the stitch dissolves but when it does that tension there releases so it feels like a pop. It can happen when you stretch or sneeze or if you're sleep you prob won't feel it but you'll know cus that "dent" will be gone and it would feel so much better. I was told it would happens around 2 after surgery. I'm almost there so I can't wait.- August 2013 Roll Call
Well, the bigger scan (where the stomach was pulled through) has this dent that's stitched to inside layers and it's supposed to pop on it's own after a certain amount if time...- August 2013 Roll Call
Has anyone had the BIG stitch finally popped? I can't wait until mine does. How long is the average wait?- August 2013 Roll Call
You could also try prune juice. I take it every morning, about 3 or so oz diluted with a little water.- August 2013 Roll Call
