I will be thinking about you and wishing you a fast and painfree surgery and recovery! What a great way to start a new year! I liked the ZeroCarb Isopure and the Unjury post op. They mix well and taste pretty good. Now I just pick up a Protein Powder at Walmart or HEB, whatever one has the lowest suger.....I think it is Body Fortress whey Protein I get. I am not a Breakfast eater and still drink a Protein Drink for breakfast, but dont worry too much about the quality of it since my real protein and nutrients come from food now.

I don't know much about Protein Drinks yet, but I wish you all the best and I hope everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow.

I agree fully with Lianna---I used Zero Carb Isopure, and Unjury. I got the ZC Isopure at GNC, and ordered the Unjury at www.unjury.com . They have small sample packs you can buy before buying the large containers. I really liked the chocolate, but mostly used the unflavored with other flavor agents, like SF, FF pudding mixed in, or DaVinci SF syrups. Plus with the unflavored you can add it to anything as you progress with your foods, if you feel you need a Protein increase.

Good Luck to you---I hope the surgery and recovery are smooth sailing!!! Come back an let us know how it went!

Welcome to LBT!

Kat

I hope all goes just perfect for you tommorrow, and congratulations on taking hold of your life, and making it what you want it to be. It is amazing to me to have learned that as a large person, everyone seems to just expect you not to succeed at your goals, but they think that if you are slim that you can do anything(my personal life observation) that you set out to do. Well, this is so different, you choose to change you life as a large person, and you are not accomplished at it until you are a smaller person,,,,,,,,,, it really messes people up in their perception of what we can do if we want it bad enough. Just for a test, as you lose weight, pay attention to how people approach you, listen to you, and respond to what you have to say. It is really an eye opener, or it was for me.

After you have gone through the three day WHAT HAVE I DONE phase you will start on the best journey you can ever take, the road to health!!!!

Again, good luck, take your pain meds, and welcome to bandsville!!!!!

I'm very glad your surgery went well and I too hope we can start a support group in the Katy area since driving to the Galleria via 1-10 is a nightmare.:)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
