How do you get your protein in a day

Recommended Posts

Some good ideas for me. I have got to get a program to help me keep track of everything on one page. I have not been faithful about that since I have been eating solid foods. I had my surgery on (gastric sleeve) on March 15th and I have lost 95 pounds. Part of that was due to the 6 months of dieting before the surgery. I have got to start a REGULAR exercise program with people that can assist with my ( and most of us) "problem areas. I appreciate the forum and all the help I can get.

Isopure is a liquid (GNC) that has 40g Protein, 160 Cals, and 0 Carbs. I like them better than shakes usually. I'm burned out on both of them right now, but when I'm having difficulty getting protein in, then I will force it down over an hour or two.

Well I been getting in most of my Protein through food, besides chicken, Greek yogurt , fish, turkey burgers , I have been eating different types of Beans and keeping my total meal at 4oz.. There are times that I fall short so I do drink a Protein Shake Ensure which I don't like but will drink it, then I have whey Protein Drink mix that's not to bad.. But I try to make my meals count with protein, I do mix things up so I don't get burnt out on it, but so far so good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
