What is everyone eating at this point? I'm supposed to be on soft solids for another week. Having a hard time trying to figure out what to eat. Need suggestions!

Sleeved May1st

Pre weight 306

Post diet weight before sleeve 291

Post surgery as of 6/24 253

Loss 53 as of today and I am 5' 8" tall. Have 50 to 75 more to go

My doctor told me 150 was ok. But that 200 would be a better goal. I am tall and way over 40 so I think he feels that 2/3of the over all goal will be easier to get to and keep off for the rest of my life.

Yesterday was my one month post op day. I went from 325 (no pre-op diet) to 290 for a 35 pound weight loss. I've turned into a fish junkie over the past two weeks because that's the easiest meat for me to keep down. So pass the tilapia, salmon, crab, shrimp and scallops my way!

5/29 here. SW 263 Surgery 255 Current 237- I have been eating a lot of Greek yogurt- plain with sugar free davinci Syrup, guacamole, scrambled eggs with cheese, and mini babybell cheese, skim milk, and Protein Shakes. I have had pureed chilli, meatballs, meatloaf, chicken with yogurt with salsa, mushed banana with creamy Peanut Butter. I hate purée and soft stage! Don't judge but I did have some no sugar ice cream. Smh. My sleeve has tolerated everything but I don't really get hungry. I would be content with Protein shakes all day. I'm looking forward to solids.

Sleeved May 16

SW: 239

CW: 213

Total lost: 26 (8 lbs on pre-op diet)

Still sloooowly introducing solids. Haven't tried beef yet, chicken didn't go well (just not ready), but fish is great. Finally figured out my 'full feeling' and have stopped giving myself the foamies. Drinking at least 2 Protein shakes a day in addition to food & 64oz of Water. Not losing super fast, but it does seem steady. Just started working out with a trainer, so hoping that will keep me on track too.

I'm chopperq23 on My Fitness Pal if anyone wants to add me!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
