AnyonE NEVER LOSE WEIGHT?

Recommended Posts

I was on May 15th. Everything is going great so far. I'm in second week and my Dr has me on thicker liquids this week. Just curious...I haven't lost a single pound in 3 days. Has this happened to anyone?? In my head I'm thinking this is just another diet (that I can't quit)...and God forbid if I wasted all that money. But I'm trying to stay positive. I kno I have a long road ahead of me. But I have a lot of friends that had the sleeve done in the last few months and they have all been steady losers...like An average of 2 pounds a day for the first 6-8 weeks. Any advice??

I had my revision on May 6th and actually gained 8 pounds for the first 7 days or so. I lost that and and additional 13 since and I am only 18 days out. Your body has taken on a lot of Fluid and is going through a lot of changes. Give it time to heal. The weight will come off don't you worry. Good luck!

I had a lap band for 16 months and had nothing but issues so had it taken out and changed to the sleeve.

Totally normal, they are stalls, and everybody gets them. They can last form a few days to a month or more. It's just your bodies way of making sure that everything is ok. They happen, and they end. Don't worry about it. Just keep doing what you are supposed to do and you will be just fine. During stalls though, sometimes it helps to try and up your Protein intake, let your body know that everything is fine.

Don't weigh every day...it gives Mr. scale too much power...focus on Water, Protein and moving more...the weight will come off...best of luck to you!

I am one month post opp. The first 2 weeks I was loosing 1 lb everyday. At my 2 week check up my Dr. Said do not weigh yourself every day because stalls will happen and then I would get depressed. I continued to weigh myself but then 3 weeks in stalls started happening. Now I just weigh my self once a week.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
