Has anyone one tried throat numbing?

Has anyone who has been sleeved used a throat numbing spray or lozenge after surgery for the pain. I bet after they put the bougie in and move it around a lot that the throat hurts quit a bit!

I didn't notice any throat pain at all. Never even thought about ht unil you mentioned it.

Don't recall a sore throat but did have a dry mouth and was give a mouth swab.

My Dr won't allow gum or mints the 1st 2 weeks just in case they are accidently swallowed.

Haha! Set myself up for that one!! Good to know that throat pain is not common. Thanks everyone!!!

I had a scratchy throat for several days. My voice was actually different for close to a week because of it. But, it didn't really hurt. It was more like when I have really bad seasonal allergies. It felt more dry than anything. I never needed anything for it, but the pain meds you will have will help too if you have a sore throat.
