I used the hospital gown but brought a pair of pajama pants for a little modesty for walking.

If you're hospital is like mine and requires you to stay on an iv until released then I would just use theirs. It's easiest.

Use there's. You're drain will may leak a tiny bit and get on your gown and bring jammie pants though .. Makes walking the halls more comfy

I used theirs. Wanted my clean jammies for when I got home!

The 1st one they put me in was huge. Couldn't move at all. So they downsized me.

I'm 5' tall and it was obviously made for a much taller person:)

I did bring a robe for ass coverage while strolling the halls.

Some say they used a 2nd gown as a robe.

Hospital gown all the way.. just bring a little something for underneath just in case.. I loved my hospital gown, it went to mid calf and wrapped all the way around and then tied on the side so it wasn't uh, "drafty" in the back. Of course it was MADE for bariatric patients so all 290 pounds of me fit in there comfortably! Also it had all the slits and holes necessary for them checking vitals/putting the drain through, etc.. Also incisions/drainsite can ooze a bit even through the bandages so why get your own stuff oozed on when you can just ooze on the hospital gown!

I wore a set of Capri pajamas with a really loose waistband. I just felt more comfy in my own clothes. Maybe take something just incase.

Hospital gown. I leaked all over it from the incision. I took a robe, but it was too hot so I finally succumbed to the ugly that is a Johnny and wore a second one backwards. I would have worn pants, but I had a catheter.

(So fun to pee and walk at the same time! I felt VERY manly.)

Beware of chub rub if you can't wear pants. I swear I almost rubbed up a fire trying to walk the gas out. They called me Speedy Gonzalez on the hall because I was lapping everyone trying to form up a butt trumpet.

I took cotton Nike pants and a big tshirt. I changed the first time I got up and wore it home the next day. Made me feel more human! I did leak a little on the shirt, no big deal though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
