I'm in metro-Detroit, got sleeved on Tuesday June 11 at HF. So far so good.

I had my surgery May 22 at Doctor's Hosp. This is VERY HARD. It will be great if we could all get together once a month. I don't know you guys, but I'm giving up my social life for a while. What use is to go out if I cannot eat ? Still on pureed diet, went to a birthday party, left after half hour. There was so much food... it was torture. I have to admit I miss food. Not hungry...its a mental thing. I wish to find someone who I can call and complain or cry on each other's shoulder. Someone who will understand and support each other. Our emotions are a roller coaster right now. A good friend will make things easier.

I have not been sleeved yet. September 23rd is my date. I would love to join a local support group of Sleevers in Metro Detroit. Are there any?

I am in the metro Detroit/Ann arbor area. I would love to have monthly support groups!!! Maybe I will even make a Facebook page for people to communicate better/easier and set up events!
