I am 5'8" (although my surgeon's office keeps listing me at 5'6" (annoying) and I was 398 on surgery day 10/8, I'm now down to 300 (98lbs lost and more to go) .....anything is possible. If you work hard, anything is possible.

Like others have said your definitely not alone.

When I met my surgeon last August I was 332. Surgery day I was 300. Today I'm down to 247! I'm 5'8" and starting bmi was almost 51, now down to 38 ;-)

I started at 352 and am currently in the 240's (242 this morning). My ultimate goal is 190, I'm 5'8 if that helps.

I was 404 and had surgery on January 25th. Now I'm down 75 pounds. Yeah!!!

At the beginning of my journey, I wondered if others were as heavy as me. I really needed to be inspired by other people like me and wondered how long it would be before I'd lose a big chunk of weight. These days, I am losing about 2 pounds a week and a little disappointed its not more.

It took me five years to make up my mind to actually take the steps toward a healthier life. I'm thankful to be losing and happy, I went ahead and had the surgery.

Just take one day at a time and you will be fine. I wish you much success.

You are definetely not alone! My surgeon also suggested bypass as an option for me.

At 5' 4" my highest weight was 380 at time of consultation and I couldn't beleive the scale! Something had to be done...

My sleeve was done on 04/30/13 and I am currently sitting at 347 and have been for over a week

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
