I don't have to LIE anymore!

So all my life I have lied on my drivers license about my weight. Yesterday I was looking at my license and it hit me BAM I'm under the weight on the license! WOW its a first ever! ~~~happy dance~~~

Also don't judge me because I lied.. I'm sure I'm NOT the only one who lies on their license ;-)

Well I feel pretty good. I just looked at my license and yep just like I thought. 260lbs no lying here. What would be the point.

Well, actually we are all admitting our lies and therefore are NO LONGER lying....LOL

And just what does it hurt?

I was excited when I got my new license when we moved, I told the truth about my weight for the first time in 20 years, and, even more importantly, my picture only had one chin for once!

Florida doesn't have weight on their DL either :)

Great post! And congratulations! When I moved to WA, I decided to be more "honest" and only fudged my weight by 50lbs (300) the lady at the counter said "oh honey, no one ever tells the truth on their DL, we'll put 250". When I got under the 300 mark I was thrilled to weigh less than my DL, then I looked at it and remembered that the lady "adjusted" it for me. She got 50lbs worth of cursing for my missed NSV :-). Happy to say I have now surpassed that number by 10lbs and can officially say I weigh less than my DL claims!!! Yay!

I've had 160 on my driver's license since I got my DL 20 years ago! At my top weight, that's a difference of over 100lbs. I see nothing wrong with fibbing the weight on your DL. Most people have no concept of what other people weigh to make the listed weight even useful.

If it was truly important for the weight to be accurate, the government wouldn't just take the person's word. We can infer the low importance of weight on the DL based on the absence of a scale.

But today I weigh 157 and by next week it will be true so I am really not a Liar am I or at least I won't be any more.

Whaaaaat!!! People lie on their driver license?!?! I thought they automatically put 125 on all license ;)

Ok break out the sad violins for this one!!

One of the reasons why I bumped up my weight on the newest one, was not only because I had gained even MORE. It was because when I was at the DMV renewing my license the boy/man behind the counter looked at my pervious license and said.. Not kidding now he actually said.

"Wow you used to be hot" I am not rendered speechless many times (as some as you know:p)

But I was that day, at that moment. I took my new picture put a bigger weight on the form and went home and cried.

My husband was pissed and wanted to go back and complain (bless him) but I said lets just let it go, the man behind the counter was a simple man and had a simple though and made a simple comment... Which by the way I would not of liked even if he thought I was still "hot" I don't want to be "hot" or not I want to be me and happy.

But every time I see that picture on that drivers license? I see that day.

... sad violins playing slowly comes to an end...

That's so sad! They should have training in that stuff or something. I noticed you said you could write your weight on a form, though. That is a lot nicer than in my state, where they ask you for anyone to hear if your weight is the same, and if it changed, you have to tell the number out loud so anyone within earshot can hear!

Well I feel pretty good. I just looked at my license and yep just like I thought. 260lbs no lying here. What would be the point.

Your ticker says your high weight was 287? So not entirely truthful, though I can't imagine going to get a new license due to weight going up? Might be nice to get a new one someday for a lower weight, though.

The pathetic thing is, I remember lying on my driver's license when I was 16. I said I weighed 130, when I'm sure I weighed around 145 at the time. Proof that the weight issues have always been there. :(

I've been driving for 40 years and not once have I changed it since I was 15. They ask me.. Is the weight the same? I just say, yes. There's no way my license could ever keep up with my yoyo'ing weight loss/gain
