Hahaha - that is awesome! I had been making a pile of clothes in the corner of my room since about the week after surgery. Whenever I tried on a piece of clothing that ended up being too big I just folded it and put it on the pile. My closet is basically empty now and yesterday I realized the pile was gone. My boyfriend took all my clothes to Goodwill while I was at work. I think he knew I was having a little seperation anxiety. I seriously do not think I could have gotten rid of all those black sweaters/black coverlets/ black draping jackets - which I hid under for years - on my own.

Congratulations for your spring clean - SUCCESS!!!

I cleaned mine out last weekend. It was bittersweet to let go of them. I have a post op visist on Monday and am dropping them off at a resale shop for my surgeon's bariatric patients.

I knew I had a lot of black but wow I have every kind of shirt, jacket and sweater in black. I try to stay away from black now.

Good for you! I plan on taking my clothes down to the family shelter. I always thought about the donations they received and if they even got plus size clothing. I normally clean out my closet in the beginning of winter & summer to give away clothes I knew I could part with. Well I can't wait to do the big sweep. I already have an industrial size bag of clothes & shoes already to give away. t's just a blessing to be able to bless someone else.

What a pile!

I emptied my closet several times. Each time I left a few shirts for "dirty jobs". I eventually had to replace them. I don't want to look ridiculous even when changing the oil.

Awesome!

I was in shock how many clothes I had when I finally did the big clear out! Now I am very strict with myself, every time something is too big I go and put it in a bag I keep in the garage. When the bag is full, it goes to the local charity store. I won't keep any fat clothes in the house any more :-)

What I wasn't expecting was to go down a shoe size, it has been harder saying goodbye to shoes than to clothes! But I am doing that too now.

Replacing items is fun though!

I finally have nothing in my closet to remind myself of the old me. I too hung on to "old" tees to work around in but those too are now gone! It felt good to give away all those clothes to those in need. Congratulations on the weight loss!

Thank you everyone- today I went to the outlet mall and it was SOOOO nice shopping in the "non-fat" stores. I finally didn't feel like the odd one in the group. Loving this!

How fun! Congrats to you, im still about 2 months pre op but I did dig out 4 boxes of clothes from storage the other day, sizes ranging from 26 to 18. I sorted them into piles and looking forward to the day I can find them a new home!

My husband took the kids out this afternoon (no doubt to buy Mothersday gifts at the last minute!) I jumped on the opportunity to clean out my closets. I was shocked at the amount of clothes that don't fir me 4 weeks out! More so I am shocked that the smaller clothes I have bought and never wore, most with tags, either fit or I suspect will fit in the next month or two!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
