Extreme body and mood changes !

Recommended Posts

I'm 4 months post op. I new this would be a major change in my body but did not expect hormones too change also . Changes so far that I'm dealing with - every morning I wake up with headache ( never had a headaches in my life before). Hormones are off the charts! Which is causing acne !! And bitchiness !! And cycle change also. ANYONE ELSE ????!!!!!! ( and also I know the anger and bitchiness is not coming from not eating. I can eat pretty much anything at this stAge. )

The hormonal changes are natural due to the major changes in your body chemistry, they should normalize with time though. The Headache may be a result of becoming dehydrated overnight which seems to be quite common, make sure you are getting as much Fluid as possible, also I have read some people keep a drink by their bed so they can sip at night to help with this problem. Good Luck.

At the beginning it was HORRIBLE but now I can not seem to regulate my body temp. I go from freezing to sweating! I have noticed that now that the weather is getting warmer I am overheating a lot more :(

You took the words out of my mouth, Nancy! I only had minor hormonal changes but then I'm also over half a century old! Ha ha! It's good to be cold for a change and I am also hoping summer will be better with less of me and much smaller clothes!!

Hi Sarah,

I had all those changes the first month, I'm out almost the same time as you, but don't feel those anymore. The first month I was always irritable, emotional, was cold, and like I'm having pmS all the time. I agree the other posts, make sure you are hydrated coz that will give you headache...are you eating enough at dinner time? Maybe your sugar levels go down through the night that's why you get headaches.

I am 2 weeks and 3 days post op and I am extremely irritable, especially in the mornings. I am also hypersensitive to what people say and im freezing all the time, which is not like me at all! hoping once my body gets used to this huge change, everything will kind of go back to normal.

I am just over a month post-op, and I am breaking out horribly with acne. I've always had some, but it's just so much worse right now. I'm really hoping the hormones level out, but I was about to post a topic to see if anyone else is having really bad acne problems. Nothing like feeling like going through puberty again!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
