Go to your local credit union for a personal loan. The rates are half of what I was quoted by those "medical financing companies" and if you don't have the credit for the personal loan, a revolving credit card through your bank is still lower.

It took me 6 more months to save for Dr.Aceves than my Plan B surgeon, but for me it was worth the wait. I used the time to research, research, and do a little more research. We are lucky here in the U.S. that we can choose the surgeon who is best for us and our wallet. I wasn't comfortable with the surgeons in my area, even if they had been cheaper (which they weren't).

I just spoke with Nina last week and they still have the in house payment plan. You pay the $500 deposit and $5000 when you get there, you will be billed for the rest at minimum $250 until balance is paid out. They do not use a financing company however you will have to sign a promissory note the day of surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
