My name is Megan and I was sleeved 1/14. I am down 55#s from the date of surgery. There have been health issues along the way and for a while I regretted it. Three months out and I am feeling much better. I went through Dr. Cooper at Crouse.

I am a lap-band revision. I am working with Dr. Simon at Upstate. I just received my insurance approval today! :D

I don't have a surgery date yet. I should be hearing from them soon. So glad to see you are doing well! Keep it up!!!

Thanks for the kudos and congrats on your approval. I had the lap band and got converted a couple of months later with the sleeve. The band eroded my esophagus and tore my stomach lining :-/. This has not been wonderful either, but the further out I get the better it gets. I landed in the hospital three times after surgery. Just know that this is a ton harder than the lap band, speaking honestly. But at this point I think I am getting close to saying I don't regret it. Definitely keep in touch!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
