Hi,

Just wanted to post and start talking about what I plan on doing.

I am scheduled for 8/1 and now have four months to think, double-think, doubt myself, rev myself up, and go full circle.

Do I doubt that I have to face my obesity? No. I have researched this topic for years, then about a month ago I finally just put my needs to the forefront and got plane tickets and paid my deposit for surgery.

So, that being said, here I am and I am ready to walk the path I have chosen.

welcome to the site. This is probably the single most important life changing decision ive made.. and not one day has gone by that ive regretted this. just that I didnt do it sooner... Im not as far out as some.. but still farther out than many... its been life changing and I knew that going into this and was ready for that change.. The journey is a life long one.. but the end result is fabulous.. im post op since dec20 and Ive lost 71lbs.. 71lbs of me that I will never see back again.. (thank goodness). If I can do it anyone can.. just remember to follow all the docs and nuts instructions.. and you will be a success... best of luck to you in your new journey.. keep us posted ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
