Hi. I had my sleeve May 23. I cook for my kids delicious puertorrican food...wepa! You can eat beans! Habichuelas negras o rojas are great source of protein. Mash them with a bit of rice. Make it soupy. Or use quinoa or couscous instead of rice. Make "pollo guisado" and blend the chicken breast with the salsa, turn it into thick soup. Don't give up sofrito taste "mis panas"!

I know right all my friends tell me I'm wack cuz I'm not on there lol. How long before your approval? I'm doing good and feeling great thanks for asking! And no I missed the parade this year. I didn't want to take my kids out there... It's getting so bad with the gangs and stuff. Last year I went and out of no where some guys started shooting right in front of my face! It's a shame you can't really enjoy it anymore!

Im glad to hear u doing good:) ..... N guess what !!! I just got my letter in the mail ive been approved"! Yaaay. Have to make my appt 2mrw. I know i didnt go neither i wasnt in the mood. And thats sooo true its sad we cant enjoy it. Yes i herd about the shooting last yr too. Im glad nothing happen to u guys , this yr was wack so i herd no one good came to sing this yr. Im soo excited and nervous i told my friends and my bf i want to go out get wasted b4 i start all this pre op diet thingy. N ima eat good b4 all this too lol !!!!!

You go girl!!! Congrats on the approval! Your gonna love your results I'm positive. The pre op diet was tough but it's not the end of the world! You'll do fine! Keep us posted on your date mija!

No soy Latina pero hablo español poquito y comprendo mucho. Puedo leer y comprender mucho. I just love reading you guys posts. I have a love the spanish language and culture. Some of my friends use me to translate for them. I am not fluent but I understand a lot. I had friends who were mexicanas, salvadorena, boricua, y de honduras. I don't have anyone to practice with so that I can become fluent.
