7 weeks post-op and only -22 pounds :(

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone Im 47 days post-op I got my sleeve Jan 28 and I am feeling a little down I dont know whats going on my but I am only down 22 pounds. I feel really bad because I have changed my life for the better but still feel fat and unhealthy. I workout and I eat right and I am still fat now I am going through buyers remorse. Maybe the Bypass would have been better for me either way I cant eat more that 3 or 4 ounces. Just venting........

Dont feel bad. I am 11wks out and im down 34 since surgery. Think about it, would you have been able to lose what you lost on your own? Me? Probably not. Thats why i did this.

my surgeon says everyone is different and i am doing fine with my journey.

Don't feel discouraged, you will lose, everyone losses at a different rate. Try switching things up a bit. Less carbs, more Protein. I find I loss more when I cut out my carb intake, no bread, Pasta, rice, potato's.. and eat more protein. Fish, Turkey, Turkey Chili, tuna, Egg whites.. You will do great, it will come off, don't stress.. :)

I agree with Shyv, you would never be able to lose on normal diet. Don't get on scale for awhile and keep on doing what you've been doing, it will keep coming off. I am 9 weeks and down 30# since surgery, and only losing about 1# a week. I am down from an 18 to a 12 so I'm happy with that:)

I have to focus on the fact that I am losing!! Maybe not as fast as some but it is going down!! Sure I want results like others have!! But either way my ultimate goal was to go down and I am!!! Keep doing the work and trust it will happen as it should!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
