I am almost 7 or so months out and no gallbladder problems. My surgeon had me taking ursodiol for several months after surgery to offset such issues.

I still have mine at almost 2 years out. I haven't had any problems with mine.

I had mine out DURING my sleeve surgery- I thank the Lord every day! LOL

Mine was years prior. Galbladder issues were triggered when I was pregnant. Everyone is different.

A low caloric diet is a cause of gallbladder issues. Not everyone has these issues however there are a high percentage of people that do require it later down the road. I have been a lucky one who has not had any issues and I am 19 months out. Most surgeons have you sign a document stating that while you are under the knife if he believes you are at risk of developing, or have already developed gall stones they have your permission to remove it. Good luck!

My surgeon took mine out at surgery. I feel great now :) very important

I don't know about Gonnabe, but I didn't even notice that the gallbladder had been removed. Any pain I had was centered around the largest incision where the stomach was removed and around my bellybutton.

I am 5 months out and I am not having any problems at all.

I felt the pain for sure day of. Not cool one bit. I wouldn't know the difference on the recovery since they were both done.

Dr. Alvarez talks about the relationship of developing gallstones after weight loss surgery specifically after the gastric sleeve surgery

FYI - I'm 5.5 months out and no gallbladder issues...

Had my sleeve 2/27/13. Dr removed mine and repaired Hiatal hernia. I'm glad he did it all.
